What it is

A live open-mic arena inside Fortnite. One player takes the stage, the rest are the room, and the room decides. Built in UEFN and playable from any Fortnite client with the island code.

How a set goes

You get the stage and a clock. The crowd reacts while you are on it, and the reaction is the score — there is no jury and no rubric, only whether the room stayed with you. Then the mic moves and you are part of the crowd deciding somebody else's set.

The real material is the voice chat

MICDROP does not synthesise comedy or hand you prompts. The joke is whatever you say into your own microphone, which means the island is scaffolding for a thing people were already doing in party chat, with a stage and a scoreboard attached.

It also means the island cannot moderate what is said. Fortnite's own voice controls are the only mute that exists, and that is Epic's layer rather than something a creator can build. Play it with people you would already be in a call with.
